It seems like the reason the plantiff chose the Eastern District of Texas was an entirely frivelous one, as it seems that the activity associated with the sale of those cars is a very isolated incident IMO.

I will do more research inoto this process, as I only understand a little of this article. D:

There is only one reason anyone is being called a patent troll and that is that those whose business model is based on theft of other’s patent property rights need to obscure the fact that they are committing larceny on a grand scale.

The only reason that patent properties are available to so called trolls is that the corporations being sued chose to try and steal other’s property. These Patent Pirating companies made a choice counting on the cost of litigation keeping most of their victims from being able to get justice.

Corporate crooks did not count on the market providing a solution for their conduct. So now they are spending a few hundred million dollars a year on PR and lobbying painting the picture that they are victims of vicious trolls.

Even more important that the issue of justice for inventors is the fact that when these transnational crooks get away with pirating American ingenuity they usually ship the jobs and tax base related to the inventions to a low wage country.

It is a fact that “Free Trade” and Patent Reform are both crafted by and for big companies. These companies idea of Free Trade is really about Irresponsible Trade and Patent Reform is really Patent Piracy. Both have been crafted to line the pockets of transnational corporations. Both victimize the people of developed and developing countries alike.
