Satch is a great guitarist and I'm sure that anything he does will be highly professional.

In any case, and intriguing album cover will encourage people to actually buy the album than illegally downloading it.

Led Zep's album was phenomenal that time. Then again we use to do that by using wax on paper.

Chickenfoot sounds like a total marketing gimmick. If they are a rock band, that name does not even get them into the door.

It is a gimmick, no doubt about it but hey ex-Van Halen guys from the late 70s early 80s....they need a gimmick.
Not to say it won't work, I mean after all I have seen Spinal Tap ya know....rock an roll is all about hype and gimmicks.

Come on Bloke. No credit to Chickenfoot at all? I am not sure I would call it a gimmick, although I understand why you might say that. Years ago I spent time with an Independent Record Label --- Orlando Records. I was an investor and it was a dot-com era. I learned then and there that the entertainment industry is all about packaging. Talent matters little really. If you have great packaging, marketing, handling you are a success. If you have talent on top of great handling then you are a superstar.

I also hope their music lives up to the hype. There seems to be a lot of hype, so they will need to deliver, that is for sure.

Sounds like a remake of the album sleeve of Led Zeppelin's - In through the Outdoor. Except you add water to get the hidden colors not heat. I hope their music is more original than their gimmick.
