Hi

Have you heard of the company Inventionidea at website http://inventionidea.info located on 10 North Calvert Street in Baltimore, Maryland Suite 453. I recently visited his office and met with a guy named Bob Blackburn. His company has a 2 step system where they patent your idea and help to market the trademark for a fee of $495.00. I have trademarked two product names and the cost was 333.00 each. During phase two they promise to seek buyers, market your idea, look for buyers, get a virtual prototype and promote your product, put your product in tradeshows and seek manufacturers in the USA and internationally. I have tried to contact the trade commission and attorney general of Baltimore, Maryland and they have no record of scams or business registration information on file about them. My concern is have you even heard anything bad or corrupt about Bob Blackburn or anything bad pertaining to this company Inventionidea? I am seeking professional help to market and promote my idea. He said I would get 80% from my product and he would get 20%. Please let me know your opinion and your suggestion please. In addition he stated that if my product does well they would take out a portion of the profit to repay from the promotion and marketing later. They front 60% of their money to promote interesting potential profitable product ideas. Thank you for your time.

Mitchell-

I do not know about Invent Help in Irvine, CA, but I know nothing positive about Invent Help. They are known to be a notorious invention scam. You definitely need a patent search, but the patent searches that invention submission companies do as a rule are woefully inadequate. You need a real search done by real professionals to determine whether it makes sense to move forward. Invent Help and other invention scams have never seen an invention that isn't worth pursuing, which is not at all to be expected.
