Usenet.com *the company* is a sleazy binary aggregator company that managed to get its hands on the domain name usenet.com and tried to make a buck off it, then destroyed evidence when the RIAA took them to court. No legal precedent is being set here beyond &quot;don&#039;t piss off the judge&quot;. Chances of an RIAA lawsuit doing anything against the actual filesharing that continues to go on over usenet, the *network protocol*, accessible to anyone with an internet hookup for *free*: 0%.</description>

		<description>I just want to point out that Usenet.com Inc. owned by Sierra Corporate Design Inc. is a different entity than the Usenet network as a whole.  They are just a service that was apart of the larger Usenet, and offered memberships for people to access the content.</description>
