Figures 14-20 are comic-book quality. US Patent 3,216,423, titled "Apparatus For Facilitating The Birth Of A Child By Centrifugal Force". This could make a pretty good torture device. US Patent 461,449, titled "Performing Platform For Animals". A few of my favorite examples of patent art:
