A growing Doylestown, Pennsylvania, based intellectual property consulting firm seeks a Patent Analyst/Engineer.

Duties will include patent analysis, patent mining, and technology and market research. This position requires the ability to identify high quality patents using proprietary patent mining methodology, review patents to determine claim scope and quality, and analyze patent claims in relation to products and prior art.

Those interested in this position should have strong technical skills and in depth knowledge/experience in one or more areas of electrical engineering and/or computer science. Knowledge of energy systems is also desirable, but not required. Candidates should possess a demonstrated interest in intellectual property, as well as strong communication and writing skills.

M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering; and 3 – 5 years industry experience. Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (as an agent or an attorney) is a plus, but not required.
