DLA Piper names Tamar Duvdevani as chair of IP & Technology practice in New York

DLA Piper has announced that partner Tamar Duvdevani has become chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology practice in New York, effective immediately. Duvdevani, who regularly counsels brand-focused companies on a variety of intellectual property and other legal issues, has broad experience with trademarks/trade dress, copyrights, false advertising, patent and digital and social media issues.

Duvdevani is an experienced intellectual property litigator who has appeared and argued in federal courts throughout the country.  She concentrates her practice in the representation of consumer products, apparel, and media companies in trademark, false endorsement, copyright and patent litigation, licensing issues, and global branding strategies.

Duvdevani, a graduate of Fordham Law School and Cornell University, was a 2014-2015 Global Fellow of the Federal Circuit Bar Association and was accepted into The UC Hastings Leadership Academy for Women, which she attended in 2015.  She serves on the SDNY/EDNY Local Rules Committee, and is a former law clerk to the Honorable Andrew J. Peck, SDNY.
