Paul Tanck joins Alston & Bird as Partner in New York

Alston & Bird has expanded its intellectual property capabilities with the addition of Paul Tanck as partner in the firm’s New York office. Tanck arrives from Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where he was chair of its Intellectual Property Group.

Tanck has litigated numerous patents at trial and on appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit across a broad range of technologies, including industrial automation, intelligent control system software, and information technology.

In addition to his patent ligation skills, Tanck counsels information technology and financial sector clients on patent licensing and monetization related to joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and other transactions. He also works with a wide range of clients – from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies – to help them fully exploit and maximize the value of their IP portfolios, including counseling one of the world’s largest commercial broadcasting television networks and advising a globally renowned music and fashion icon.
