Charlotte IP Attorney Flynt Strean Joins Womble Carlyle

CHARLOTTE— Attorney Flynt Strean, a veteran intellectual property attorney, has joined Womble Carlyle as a Partner in its Charlotte office. Flynt’s IP practice includes, IP portfolio management; U.S. and foreign patent application preparation and prosecution; Patent noninfringement and invalidity investigations; and IP due diligence.

Flynt’s clients include companies in the radio frequency identification (RFID) device, mechanical and electromechanical component, waterproof fabric laminate, agricultural device and healthcare management system industries.

Beyond the office, Flynt serves on the Advisory Board for Virginia Tech University’s Science, Technology, and Law Program, which offers a minor degree for students interested in pursuing careers in intellectual property law. He also currently serves as Treasurer of the Carolina Patent, Trademark, & Copyright Law Association (CPTCLA).

His previous experience includes serving as a research and development engineer for Lexmark International, Inc. In that role, he earned several patents.
