Karen Katz

is the Director of Intellectual Property Programs at the Suffolk University Law School in Boston. Karen graduated with highest honors from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and obtained her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she was on law review. She clerked for Juan R. Torruella, U.S. First Circuit Court of Appeals. She served as in-house counsel at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and was associated with Hale & Dorr and Crowell & Morning. Author of Attorneyman and numerous business development, law and mentoring articles, Karen was a search professional with Korn/Ferry, a founding member of Mass Medical Angels, a venture mentor at MIT and serves on the Board of BioBuilder and Brookline Interactive. She was awarded the Boston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 for her public service work in the community. She’s worked with numerous Am-Law 100 firms, as well as alternative legal service providers in the areas of business development, strategy, sales, presentation skills, and interactive training.
