Dr. Cerf will address the role of design in innovation using Internet as an example. The features of the Internet’s architecture and the role of the institutions that surround it have had a profound effect to the innovation we have seen since the Internet was made operational in 1983 (and designed in 1973). We will explore these features to see how they might be applied more widely.
