Here is one that issued on the same day as last week's obscure
patent, the baseball glove. Yes, it was a busy day at the office. In
any event, here is one that is sure to make you smile, giggle or just
say "why didn't I think of that!" To be honest, I am not
sure what surprises me more, the fact that there exists such a thing
as a hitch mounted portable toilet seat, or the fact that there is
actually prior art in the field of hitch mounted toilet seats! Yes,
the application itself admits that hitch mounted portable toilet
seats are known in the art, having been described in U.S. Pat. Nos. 6,023,792;
6,081,941;
and 6,125,480.
When I first looked at this invention I thought to myself, "well
there is absolutely no way this one is obvious", but then again
I am not the mythical, hypothetical one of skill in the art of hitch
mounted toilet seats.
