Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce Jeffrey N. Townes, one of the nation’s leading intellectual property (IP) attorneys, has joined its fast-growing IP department. Townes, who comes to the firm from LeClairRyan, joins Cozen O’Connor as a member and will reside in its Washington D.C. office.

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP announced that IP partners Tim Flory and Peter Cummings will join its expanding Grand Rapids office. Akin Gump has announced that Steven D. Maslowski has been named co-head of the firm’s intellectual property practice. Mr. Maslowski will transition into the role of sole leader of the practice during the next several months, after which time Steven M. Zager, who had been serving as the sole head of the practice since 2005, will step down to return to his full-time practice of law.
