LES seeks workshop proposals for 2017 Spring Meeting

les-spring2017The LES 2017 Spring Meeting Committee is now accepting workshop proposals for the 2017 Spring Meeting to be held May 9-11, 2017 in Washington, DC. Proposals will be accepted until December 19, 2016. LES invites you to share your perspectives on emerging trends, best practices, and other topics of interest with your peers across a cross-section of leading companies, research institutions, and government laboratories.

Have an idea for a session topic only?  Your suggestions are welcome without submitting a full proposal.  Please send them to the LES Meetings Department at [email protected].

The LES 2017 Spring Meeting theme is Stronger Economies Through Licensing, Is IP Policy Making or Breaking Your Deals? LES is looking for a dynamic variety of presentations to meet the diverse needs of the LES membership.

The Spring Meeting will feature Sector program tracks designed to be of interest to LES Sectors members. We are accordingly seeking workshop proposals with subject matter relevant to the:

  • Chemicals, Energy, Environmental, and Materials Sector – including, petrochemicals, renewable and green energy, clean technology and nanotechnology.
  • Consumer Products Sector – including, cosmetics, small appliances, consumer durables, consumer electronics, and other household items.
  • High Technology Sector – including, aerospace & transportation, mobile & consumer electronics, digital content, gaming IP & technology, nanotechnology, semiconductor, and software.
  • Life Sciences Sector – including, pharmaceutical, biotech, bio-medical devices, and diagnostics & genomics segments.
  • Industry-University-Government Interface Sector – including interaction and collaboration between licensing and technology transfer professionals and the greater financial community.
  • Valuation/Legal – including, changes to the legal landscape for IP, as well as valuation and pricing issues pertaining to the development, technology transfer and licensing of intellectual property.

LES survey research indicates that Spring Meeting workshop attendees value discussion and interaction with experienced, senior corporate executives. Preference will accordingly be given to workshops that include such panelists.
