Zuber Lawler & Del Duca announces the newest additions to our roster of attorneys, scientists and engineers.
Chizuko Ueno (Partner, New York Office) represents U.S. and Japanese clients with respect to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other commercial contracts. She possess particular experience relating to the technology, media, pharmaceutical, chemical, automobile, and retail industries. Ms. Ueno earned her LL.M magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. She also earned a B.A. and an M.A. summa cum laude from Waseda University, one of the most prestigious universities in Japan. She is fluent in Japanese and French.
Dr. Jayashree Mitra (Partner, New York Office) has represented iconic multi-national companies in patent, trade secret, and product liability litigation, including Hatch-Waxman litigation. She has experience relating to IPR and ITC proceedings, and intellectual property deals and portfolios. Dr. Mitra possesses broad expertise in the life sciences, including small molecules, biologics, vaccines, pharmaceutical formulations, and pharmaceutical manufacture. She has a keen interest in the blockchain space. Dr. Mitra earned her Ph.D. in pharmacology from Yale, and her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review.
Christopher Muessel (Of Counsel, Silicon Valley Office) is one of Southeast Asia’s most experienced foreign lawyers. He practiced in Cambodia for 11 years and in Vietnam for 6 years, where he advised multi-national companies on a broad range of legal matters. He focuses on cross-border M&A, project finance, real estate and trade deals; and anti-corruption compliance matters. Mr. Muessel earned his J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center, and his B.A. magna cum laude at Colorado College.
Amanda-Jane Thomas (Associate, Los Angeles Office) focuses on intellectual property, financial and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Thomas earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School, and her A.B. from Harvard University.
Giselle Safazadeh (Associate, Chicago Office) represents a wide variety of clients in complex commercial litigation, including class action defense, and high-stakes financial and employment disputes. Ms. Safazadeh earned a J.D. cum laude from University of Michigan Law School, and her B.S. cum laude from Georgetown University.
Michelle Lee (Associate, Los Angeles Office) focuses on intellectual property and commercial litigation. She possesses particularly deep experience with patent litigation relating to the pharmaceutical industry. She also negotiates intellectual property agreements. Ms. Lee earned her J.D. at University of Pennsylvania Law School, and her A.B. at Brown University.
