Lathrop GPM LLP, a national firm with 14 offices and nearly 400 attorneys, is actively seeking an experienced Technical Specialist or Patent Agent to join our Life Sciences patent group (Biology, BioTech, Pharma/Chemistry) in Boston, MA. This is a full-time, permanent position.
**Candidates who could work from our offices in Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN, and Boulder/Denver, CO are also encouraged to apply.**
Previous experience with patent prosecution, office actions, and working in a fast-paced law firm environment is preferred. This position offers extensive professional development and mentor support in a team culture. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, strong writing and communication skills, practical critical-thinking skills, and the desire and ability to work across various technologies.
A strong scientific background and Ph.D. in a relevant life sciences discipline are required. For technical professionals, desire to take the patent bar exam or those applying as registered Patent Agents desired but not required.
