Ken Stanwood

Ken Stanwood is CTO of WiLAN, Inc. where he oversees WiLAN’s engineering staff. One of his primary responsibilities is running WiLAN’s university technology transfer program which includes helping universities spin out startups. Mr. Stanwood transitioned into his role of CTO after having served as President and CEO of WiLAN Labs, the research and development arm of WiLAN, Inc. which focused on developing solutions to fundamental issues facing next generation wireless communications and cloud computing. Mr. Stanwood has extensive experience in Broadband Wireless technology development including protocol and algorithm development, intellectual property, and standardization. He has been in the communications industry for over 35 years. As an entrepreneur and inventor, he has founded two startups and holds more than 145 issued US patents.
