Patent Law and Policy 2015

November 17, 2015 @ 8:00 am - 6:00 pm EST

|Recurring Event (See all)

The inaugural IAM event focusing on how developments in law and policy affect patent owners’ ability to monetise their rights will take place in Washington DC on November 17 2015.

With patent reform on the DC agenda for much of the last decade, the Supreme Court hearing more patent cases than ever before, the regulatory authorities taking a closer look at patent-based business models and the International Trade Commission becoming an increasingly popular forum, it has never been more important to understand the legal and legislative currents shaping the patent landscape. For companies with large portfolios and significant monetisation operations, law and policy developments must be factored into all strategic planning.

This one-day conference in Washington DC offers all those involved in the patent market the perfect opportunity to listen to, learn about and engage in the many legal and policy debates currently taking place around patents. It also examines the views of investors, deal advisers and other intermediaries outside the Beltway on how changes in law and legislation are affecting patent values and the investment climate. No other event connects what is taking place in Washington DC with the wider monetisation landscape.

At a time of such fundamental change, IAM’s Patent Law and Policy conference offers senior IP managers in operating companies, non-practising entity executives, intermediaries, advisers and other patent professionals a unique opportunity to get to the heart of the key legal and policy trends affecting all aspects of the monetisation market.
