The Deputy Commissioner for Patent Quality hosts a series of events collectively entitled Patent Quality Chat, a lunchtime patent quality webinar series held monthly. These events began in 2015 and will continue through 2016. The Patent Quality Chat series is designed to provide information on patent quality topics and gather your input.
Each Patent Quality Chat webinar will include a speaker(s) presentation (approximately 20 minutes) reserving the remainder of the time for questions and comments from our virtual audience (sent in via email). All Patent Quality Chats are free and open to all on a first-come, first-served basis. No CLE credit will be available through the USPTO. Video recordings and any presentation materials from the Patent Quality Chats will be posted on this website after the event has concluded.
Webinar participants are encouraged to join the discussion during the event by emailing comments and questions via PatentQualityEventParticipationBox@uspto.gov. Remember: always on the second Tuesday of each month; set a recurring meeting on your calendar to join us!
On Tuesday, June 14, 2016, the topic will be: eCommerce Modernization (eMod): Improving the Electronic Patent Application Process. Speakers will be:
- Lisa Tran, Communications Manager for eCommerce
- Amy Stevens, Business Analyst leading the Electronic Business Center
- Richard Fernandez, eMod Project Manager
