Bart Lerman

Bart Lerman has thirty-year’s experience in both intellectual property and commercial law in a wide range of work environments and technologies, including supervisory experience in a large corporate setting, lead (sole) domestic IP counsel in a US subsidiary of a mid-sized foreign-based multinational (with a central IP Department), and lead (sole) IP counsel in a startup corporate environment tasked with the responsibility for structuring the internal IP function.

Mr. Lerman’s legal and corporate experience includes domestic and foreign patent prosecution, IP portfolio management, IP budget management, agreement and opinion drafting, M&A, litigation management and client counseling. Mr. Lerman has extensive international experience, including living and working in Europe, practicing before the European Patent Office, and negotiating intellectual property deals with China and elsewhere.

Mr. Lerman is currently IP Counsel for Kuraray America, Inc., and is located in Wilmington, DE.
