Mark Kokes

Dr. Mark Kokes is Chief Licensing Officer & General Manager of Media IP Business for Adeia. Mark is responsible for the continued monetization of the aggregate Adeia media portfolio of technology and intellectual property in areas such as mobile computing, video, imaging, communications, and data storage. Markets include: Video & Pay TV Services, OTT Services, Social Networking, Mobile, Consumer Electronics, Computational Imaging, and Automotive.

Prior to joining Adeia, Mark was the Chief IP Officer for NantWorks and the Nant Family of Companies, where he lead all aspects of Intellectual Property Strategy, Technology & IP licensing, IP venturing, IP Finance & Investment, IP litigation, Trademarks and Patent Prosecution. While at NantWorks he was trusted with the monetization of the foundational aggregate Nant patent portfolio spanning multiple vertical segments including but not limited to Media, Infrastructure, Communications, Energy, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Pharmaceuticals. Mark was also a member of the NantWorks management team and advisor to the Nant companies.

Prior to joining Nant he was Senior Vice President for Intellectual Property, Licensing and Standards at BlackBerry, where he similarly lead all aspects of IP Strategy, licensing and also Global Technology Standardization.
