Hon. Alan D. Albright

The Honorable Alan D. Albright is a federal district court judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Judge Albright was nominated by President Donald Trump on January 24, 2018 and confirmed on September 6, 2018. He was sworn in on September 18, 2018. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Albright was an IP litigator in the Austin, Texas. He also previously served as U.S. Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas from 1992-1999. He is a graduate of Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas (1981) and The University of Texas School of Law (1984).
