Mang Zhu, Ph.D.

Dr. Mang Zhu is the Vice President and Head of IP at InterDigital, leading the patent group responsible for the company’s 30,000+ patent assets. She has over 25 years of experience in the patent field, especially in SEPs and started at InterDigital in November 2023. Previously, Mang was Chief IP Strategy Officer and Head of the patent asset management team at ZTE (USA), implementing portfolio processes that increased market value. As SEP specialist, she contributed to quality improvements that enabled ZTE’s licensing success. Before ZTE, Dr Zhu was IP Strategy Director at Motorola Mobility/Lenovo from 2003-2016, managing their SEP portfolio and licensing/litigation support. She holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt and is honored as an IAM Top 40 Market Maker and IAM IP Strategy 300 for 2023.
