Nehal Madhani

Nehal Madhani is an attorney and the founder and CEO of Alt Legal. Nehal was a practicing attorney at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP, an internationally renowned law firm. Inspired to make legal practice more efficient, Nehal taught himself programming and founded Alt Legal, a company whose cloud-based IP docketing software helps legal professionals prepare and manage hundreds of thousands of IP filings and deadlines daily.

Nehal speaks regularly about the intersection of legal practice and technology at bar associations and legal conferences, including Clio Cloud Conference, New York County Lawyers Association, New York State Bar Association, and the Florida Bar. He has been profiled in Inc. Magazine, Bloomberg, Above the Law, and Attorney at Work.

Nehal has authored and contributed publications about how IP offices can innovate, including most recently for World Trademark Review. He was selected for the 2016 Fastcase 50 – an award that “recognizes 50 of the smartest, most courageous innovators, techies, visionaries, and leaders in the law.”
