AIPLA Announces Leadership Update

Lisa JorgensonMarch 24, 2020 – After serving as Executive Director for more than five years, Lisa K. Jorgenson is leaving AIPLA.  In the time she has served us in that capacity, she has worked tirelessly to connect with AIPLA members—not only across the country but around the world—and to understand and address the challenges that IP practitioners are facing. We want to thank Lisa for her dedicated service and wish her well in her future endeavors.

AIPLA intends to redouble its efforts to support our members and the entire IP community during this unprecedented time.  We will focus on providing further opportunities for education and information exchange on current IP issues, and on supporting our online communities, including those of our more than 50 committees. We will also continue our advocacy work on the Hill, with the Administration, and in the courts.

The Board of Directors has appointed Vincent E. Garlock, Deputy Executive Director, as Acting Executive Director. AIPLA’s Board of Directors will work closely with Vince Garlock and the entire AIPLA staff to ensure a smooth and effective transition.

AIPLA is a national bar association constituted primarily of lawyers in private and corporate practice, in government service, and in the academic community.
