The National Law Journal Recognizes IMS with Eight “Best Of 2021” and Two “Hall Of Fame” Awards

Pensacola, Fla.  |   The National Law Journal announced national winners and industry-wide rankings in its annual reader favorite awards, naming IMS Consulting & Expert Services as top winner in two categories and a top-three winner in six categories. The National Law Journal also named IMS to its highly-selective “Hall Of Fame” awards in the categories of Best Expert Witness Service Provider and Best Litigation Dispute Advisory Services Consulting.

In 2019, IMS Consulting & Expert Services expanded its offerings, with new service lines designed to allow clients’ access to the services and perspective they need to design and execute strategies throughout the entire civil trial process. The company’s offerings include trial persuasion strategy, expert witness, jury consulting, trial graphics, and trial presentation services — all informed by deep industry experience through our work on more than 20,000 cases and well over 1,000 trials.

“We are grateful to have earned a reputation for providing clients the right expertise they need for their cases,” remarked James Crane, IMS CEO. “As we’ve expanded and adapted how we support clients throughout the lifecycle of litigation — both in the courtroom and in remote settings — it is powerfully affirming to see this recognition from the nation’s attorneys, law firm leaders, in-house counsel, judges, and other readers of The National Law Journal.”

Mr. Crane has recently been tapped as the firm’s new CEO and tasked with leading continued refinement of the company’s service offerings to meet customer demand. Former CEO, Bill Wein, has shifted into the role of executive chairperson of the company’s board of directors. Crane has led the company through an extensive period of customer-needs assessment and the creation of remote offerings to help U.S. litigators advance their cases amid the pandemic.

Since the rise of COVID-19 and mass disruption across the U.S. courts system, IMS has adapted several offerings to meet new clients’ needs for safe and virtual services, including remote trial presentation, remote witness preparation, and remote jury research. The firm provides attorneys with all the tools and information they need to inform their case strategies and develop winning trials.

“For nearly thirty years, we’ve been diligently focused on helping our clients win,” continued Crane. “Today, our clients need to be able to advance their cases in all types of environments, including remote settings. It’s been an honor to help the country’s sharpest attorneys keep their practices moving and their cases advancing and to help our industry define best practices for what comes next.”

The National Law Journal’s annualBest Of” reader favorite awards and industry-wide rankings are conducted annually. They were designed to identify and highlight the legal industry’s best products, brands, firms, practitioners, and services across the U.S.

Methodology for the awards includes a nominations process in which attorneys, judges, in-house counsel, and law firm officers throughout the U.S. identify the firms and service providers to be considered for awards. A period of voting follows, with a survey open to members of the U.S. legal community. Winners are selected, top firms and practitioners are ranked based on the survey’s input, and the winners are announced by The National Law Journal in its annual “Best Of” rankings edition.

IMS Consulting & Expert Services is recognized as a winner in two categories of this year’s “Best Of” from The National Law Journal: Best Litigation Dispute Advisory Services Consulting and Best Forensic Accounting.

The firm is recognized with Top Three awards in six categories:

  • Best Expert Witness Provider
  • Best Global Risk & Investigations Consulting
  • Best Intellectual Property Litigation Consulting
  • Best Corporate Investigations
  • Best Jury Consulting
  • Best Trial Technology “Hot Seat” Provider

Additionally, IMS has earned “Hall Of Fame” designations in the categories of Best Litigation Dispute Advisory Services Consulting and Best Expert Witness Provider.

The winners and industry-wide rankings are published in the current edition of The National Law Journal. A special thought leadership article from IMS is featured in the “Best Of 2021” edition, and this article features insights from several industry experts on how COVID-19 is impacting and will continue to impact, litigation across industries, including healthcare and big tech.
