Conversant Intellectual Property Management Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Boris Teksler to be the company’s new President and CEO and a member of the Board of Directors, effective immediately. Conversant’s current President and CEO, John Lindgren, will transition to a non-executive role with Conversant and will remain on the Board of Directors.

Quatela Lynch Intellectual Property, a global intellectual property consultancy founded in 2014 by Laura Quatela and Timothy Lynch, announced that Dan McCurdy will join the firm as a partner effective January 1, 2017. Ferdinand IP, an internationally-recognized boutique law firm, announced the formation of its arbitration practice group, to be led by industry veterans Tom Halket, Jed Ferdinand and Ted Weitz. Fenwick & West recently announced the election of three attorneys to the partnership, effective January 1, 2017. The new equity partners are Andrew Albertson and Melanie Mayer, Ph.D., based in Seattle, and Jonathan Millard, based in San Francisco. International law firm McDermott Will & Emery has announced that Dr. Henrik Holzapfel, a leading intellectual property partner, has joined the Firm as a partner in its Düsseldorf office. The addition of Dr. Holzapfel, who joins McDermott from a full-service German law firm, adds strength to the Firm’s European Union patent litigation practice while further enhancing McDermott’s presence in Germany. Dr. Holzapfel is the first intellectual property partner to reside in the Firm’s Düsseldorf office.
